As always was great to see & talk with you for a few minutes tonight in our favorite eating place here in town. Even good to see your dad too. So glad you called earlier today too. Somehow it always brightens my day (& hopefully I have that same affect on you too).
Sorry to hear you hurt yourself yet again lol....although I think our parents are right...we both are accident prone.
Somehow its those short little visits that we see each other that help until we can see each other again for longer ones. That is what makes it worth while.

Monkeying Around
Total monkeying around Sunday night was awesome with you ok except for when we had trouble getting the dvd to load properly, or the fact that my couch apparently is too small for both of us, or that my house is too small and has too much clutter still lol...but the rest was good :-p! So happy that you liked your scarf & hat even when you put them on and looked all dorky like. Wasn't the way I had planned to celebrate Christmas with you this year but hopefully next year will go better. At least you were able to get some holiday pay out of it.
Decided that I'm going to make you a pair of socks now and depending on how well those turn out maybe a sweater vest. Although like I mentioned to Auntie I really do need to find a job soon because I don't think you would want me to knit you a pair of underwear lol :-D!

Rainbows & Bits of Gold & Green
Spent part of today walking/jogging/stop-n-go with the dogs and what was interesting is that each time I took a different dog/pair of dogs out the weather had changed. First it was sunny and then it was rainy and then it was sunny & rainy at the same time! I'm not complaining though because I think truely it was definitely one of the top highlights of my day...the beautiful weather and getting to spend it with dogs that I love (plus time with BooBoo the cat). Nothing like sunshine to make you feel blessed and thankful. What caught my attention though even more was the amazing rainbow over the trees on the way back down the hill. Oh my goodness it was so vibrant! So wish I had my camera with me at the time but all I had was the camera in my phone and it wouldn't show up.
The rainbow made me think of our relationship...especially since they are rare and so beautiful. I have to say I don't think I've ever had a relationship with anyone where I've been through so much over such a long period of time and have a love with someone where it just felt like I was coming home every time I saw you.
Yeah the bits of golden liquid sunshine through the lush green trees was amazing and it wasn't just me who was happy to see the sun. I think the dogs were too ;-). So nice to have had sunshine a few times this week. It definitely helps with lessoning my homesickness for CA and warm Christmas's.

Kiss & Makeup
Quality time was definitely needed lately and yesterday was a good day for it. Quiet time that included kissing & making up ...always a top favorite in my book haha;-)!

All Sparkly Within
After almost nine years of knowing each other and over four and a half years of dating I have to say that we are closer than ever and it feels really good. I wouldn't trade any of the challenges or blessings for anything since it has brought us to be this close now. That any ordinary day is just another special moment in time we get to spend together. Every moment lately you are happier than ever to see me and it just makes me all sparkly within.

Hats & Laughter
Sunday night I got to spend a few hours at the station house while C was washing & drying his uniform and then his gear. He had to take apart his mask and put in a new safety glass shield as his got scratched badly while at the drill they did this last weekend in North Bend in the woods. Afterwards I got to put on his firefighter helmet :-D which was way cool! I usually don't mess with his gear for his work but yeah just like a little kid I couldn't resist lol! He just smiled and shook his head at me. He took me to dinner at our fave mexican restaurant on the water and watched the football game then spent the night on the boat. Was a really really nice night.
Being out of work isn't necessarily helping my pocketbook but it has been very nice to spend more time with C and to rest and work on my craft projects.

Misty Days, Potato soup, & Peppermint Tea
C took me out for a very nice birthday dinner in October to a nice seafood restaurant and then we went to the casino next door. I've never 'gambled' before so we had fun teaching me how to use the slot machines lol ;-). I had an amazing birthday this year with lots of time with him, lots of well wishes via phone, text, and online. Some nice birthday cards and presents too! I felt very blessed.
I finally found a cozy house just ten minutes down the hill from his dad's house. It's been a busy month with working and moving in, our first snow storm and now being sick. He was able to get a job with Medic One and is still in the fire academy. I swear my man doesn't sleep lol! I have such a long commute into Tacoma that it's hard for me to get a second job...but I am looking.
Thanksgiving was good. We didn't spend it together but it was still good. Not sure what we are doing for the holidays though.

Nightly Olympic Adventures
Last friday night we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and had a nice date night. After dinner we went by the house and got stuff packed for his trip to go see his mom in St. L. and he saw the finished quilt I had made for her to be from us. Wow it turned out amazingly well! You can view it over on my site. He thought it was really pretty and when he gave it to her this past weekend she loved it :-). We went by my storage unit on the way back to the boat to get a few things and then called it a night. Got up really early to take him to the airport but all the time together was really nice. After that I headed the rest the way to mom's.
Tuesday night he came back and we had a nice dinner on the way home. When we got home and in for the night though the power across town went out. It was pretty eery being down on the water with no lights anywhere. Perfect time to call it an early night ;-). Next day was back to normal...running errands, etc.

First Time for Anything
Recently C came to Cali to help me move to WA and normally I don't travel more than about 500 miles in a day when I am traveling by car mostly for safety reasons but nontheless we made the marathon trek of doing about 750 miles each day! Lots of hours of singing, laughing, looking out the window 'are we there yet?' and also the quiet moments too of just enjoying each other's company. It was our first trip we have actually taken together anywhere long distance and it was kind of nice :-). Thankfully he did most of the driving of the truck because we were also pulling my car and although I tried to drive it was short lived since I got scared.
I think one of the funniest moments was when we were going along pointing out what animals were along the road and when we saw sheep C said they were "white dogs" lol. Um sure dear...;-). Of course lets not forget when it was dark and C noticed that the moon was incredibly low that night (noticing where he was indicating on the horizon) but upon getting closer realized it was a gas station sign! LOL...silly man :-).
So this blog is about our adventures together. Enjoy!
