Nightly Olympic Adventures

Last friday night we went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and had a nice date night. After dinner we went by the house and got stuff packed for his trip to go see his mom in St. L. and he saw the finished quilt I had made for her to be from us. Wow it turned out amazingly well! You can view it over on my site. He thought it was really pretty and when he gave it to her this past weekend she loved it :-). We went by my storage unit on the way back to the boat to get a few things and then called it a night. Got up really early to take him to the airport but all the time together was really nice. After that I headed the rest the way to mom's.

Tuesday night he came back and we had a nice dinner on the way home. When we got home and in for the night though the power across town went out. It was pretty eery being down on the water with no lights anywhere. Perfect time to call it an early night ;-). Next day was back to normal...running errands, etc.

First Time for Anything

Recently C came to Cali to help me move to WA and normally I don't travel more than about 500 miles in a day when I am traveling by car mostly for safety reasons but nontheless we made the marathon trek of doing about 750 miles each day! Lots of hours of singing, laughing, looking out the window 'are we there yet?' and also the quiet moments too of just enjoying each other's company. It was our first trip we have actually taken together anywhere long distance and it was kind of nice :-). Thankfully he did most of the driving of the truck because we were also pulling my car and although I tried to drive it was short lived since I got scared.

I think one of the funniest moments was when we were going along pointing out what animals were along the road and when we saw sheep C said they were "white dogs" lol. Um sure dear...;-). Of course lets not forget when it was dark and C noticed that the moon was incredibly low that night (noticing where he was indicating on the horizon) but upon getting closer realized it was a gas station sign! LOL...silly man :-).

So this blog is about our adventures together. Enjoy!
